| In 2008 Swing Sets by Design helped design and install the new playground at the School of Arts and Sciences in Tallahassee. The overall playground design goal was to allow access for handicapped children onto the playground from the parking lot nearly 15' above grade. In order to accomplish this, several walkway ramps and landings were designed parallel to one another in order to minimize loss of playground space. | Nearly every commercial playground committee at some point weighs the pros and cons of what material to use. (THE METAL EQUIPMENT IN THESE PHOTOS WAS NOT PROVIDED BY SWING SETS BY DESIGN) The equipment in these photos is less than 4 years old. There is already rust and major signs of wear. The value of this metal play set is over $4000. We were asked to replace some sharp broken pieces of plastic paneling that were very dangerous and inhibited the use of the playground by the school children. Since our craftsmen are skilled in wood, plastic, and metal components, we were able to make an exact replica and replace the broken pieces of equipment. The cost of replacing the pieces was over $600....If a piece of wood needs to be replaced on any of our playground designs, it is free. Lifetime Warranty on ALL Structures.
